Watch out for propane forge flashbacks at the county fair demo

I was doing a demo at the Lincoln County Fair last month and had a bad flashback from my old propane forge. The regulator was fine but the burner tube had a tiny crack I never noticed before. It shot a flame out the front that nearly caught my glove on fire. Took me an hour to swap in a backup burner I had in my truck. Has anyone else had a forge fail like that during a public event?

Shot a flame out the front" - did that crack look rusty or was it fresh?

@jana881 rust never sleeps but that flame sure did wake up the neighbors.

Had one do the same thing on my old truck last winter, scared the life out of me.
