My grandpa's advice about baking cookies in a cast iron pan changed everything
He told me to chill the dough for exactly 45 minutes and use a hot pan straight from the oven, and after 3 batches I finally got crispy edges with soft centers - has anyone else tried baking in cast iron instead of a sheet?

45 minutes exactly? That's weirdly specific.

Used to be a total skeptic about cast iron for cookies tbh. Always thought it was just a gimmick for instagram pics. But then I tried it with a batch of chocolate chip cookies last weekend and holy crap the difference is real. The bottoms get this perfect golden crust while the middle stays soft and gooey. Definitely a total game changer for me too.

My buddy tried it last week and said his cookies came out way better than any baking sheet he's ever used.
