Rewatching old episodes on the original DVDs hits different than streaming

I pulled out my box set of the 2003 Teen Titans show last weekend because I was tired of the muted colors on HBO Max. The DVDs have those grainy opening credits and the episode order is actually correct, not the messed up streaming order. But the weird thing is, my 14 year old students refuse to watch anything that isn't on their phone. Tried to show them the DVD menu screen and they looked at me like I was doing archaeology. I swear the original broadcast versions had different music cues too, the streaming versions sound off. Anyone else notice this or am I just chasing ghosts from 2005?
