Hot take: our board game shelf went from 14 games to 3 in a year and game night got way better
Last January our shelf had 14 games stacked to the ceiling and half of them never got played because nobody wanted to learn rules. Then my buddy Dave said "pick three or I'm not coming back" and we actually did it, kept Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Dominion. We've played each one like 20 times now and everyone knows the rules cold, so we finish two games in a night instead of arguing over a rulebook for 45 minutes. Did anyone else cut their collection down and actually end up happier, or do you regret letting stuff go?
