Hot take: Our local library's board game night is packed with teens now.

Makes you wonder if screens are losing their grip, huh?

From running events like this, setting up separate tables for different game types works best. Teens love competitive games like Catan or cooperative ones like Pandemic. It's not just a screen break, they get into the social part, talking strategy and laughing. We even had a tournament last month that filled up in hours. Keep snacks simple, like chips and soda, to keep them around longer. You'll see them swapping phone numbers to play again, which is pretty cool.

Actually, what if all that planning just makes it feel like another school club? Sometimes just throwing a bunch of games on a table and letting them figure it out is way more fun! And trust me, chips and soda just ends up as a sticky mess everywhere.

What if it's just a fun break (from screens, maybe)?
