Messed up a game night by forgetting to check player count
Last month I hosted a game night with 7 people and pulled out a 4-player game by accident. We spent the first 20 minutes trying to split into groups before someone suggested 7 Wonders. Has anyone else had to scramble to find a game that fits the exact number of people?

Ripped open a new game of Scythe I had been saving for months, only to realize me and my buddy were one player short for the perfect game. We ended up dragging my little sister in who had zero interest in board games and spent the first hour explaining the rules to her while she just wanted to play on her phone. It was a total mess but somehow we still managed to finish by midnight, though I think she rolled her eyes the whole time.
