My copy of Scythe's factory-sealed board had a huge crease right down the middle

I finally got the game after waiting for a reprint and opened it yesterday. The board was folded wrong at the factory, leaving a deep crease that splits the entire map. On one hand, it's just cosmetic and doesn't affect play, so maybe I should just live with it. On the other, I paid full price for a new, premium game and this feels like a defective product. I emailed the publisher's support but haven't heard back yet. Has anyone had luck getting a replacement board for something like this, or is it always a fight?

Honestly a crease down the middle sounds like a cool battle scar. Adds character.

Factory sealed doesn't mean perfect, just unopened.

Oh man, @the_leo is totally right. I bought a "factory sealed" board game once and the box looked like it lost a fight with a forklift. The seal was there, but the corner was smashed flat. Another time, a sealed book had a huge printing smear right across the cover. That plastic wrap is just a promise that no person messed with it, not that the machine didn't already throw it down the stairs.
