My game group in Cincinnati almost broke up over a single rule in 'Root' three years ago.
We spent a full month arguing about the dominance cards before someone found a designer's forum post from 2019 that cleared it all up. Has your group ever had a fight over a rule that almost ended things?

Honestly, that sounds so familiar. Tbh, we nearly had the same thing happen over the tie-breaker rule in Cosmic Encounter. It got so heated we almost stopped meeting for a while. Ngl, it's wild how a tiny line in the rulebook can cause that much trouble.

Oh man, tell me about it... we had a total meltdown over the "draw two, keep one" rule in 7 Wonders. One guy read it one way and just would not let it go, even after we all looked it up. The whole night just kind of fell apart after that... it's crazy how a single sentence can wreck the vibe for weeks.

Actually, those heated rule fights are a good sign. They mean everyone is really into the game and cares about the outcome. A group that just shrugs and moves on probably isn't that invested. Arguing over the tie-breaker shows you all want to get it right, even if it gets loud.
