PSA: I was teaching my nephew Settlers of Catan wrong for a whole year, and he finally called me out at our family game night last Sunday.

I had been telling him you could trade resources with the bank at a 3:1 ratio from the start, not realizing the 2:1 ports were the only way to get that rate before building a settlement on one.
