The guy who knew every rule in the book, but only if you asked him wrong
At a meetup in Denver last month, this older fella watched me butcher the turn order in Agricola for the third time. He didn't say a word until I started reading the manual myself, then he leaned over and quoted the exact page and line. Turns out he runs a local gaming library for kids, and he told me he lets everyone fumble first because that's how they actually learn. I got the rule right on my next try and beat him by 4 points. Has anyone else met someone who holds back help until you're about to give up?
