Tried a solo variant for Gloomhaven with my cat. It did not go as planned.
Set up a scenario on the kitchen table last night. My cat jumped up and sat right on the monster cards. Couldn't move her for like ten minutes. Learned that pets are the ultimate randomizer. Anyone else have their game night ruined by an animal?

Yeah, @smith.parker, my dog once chewed a whole hero mini into abstract art.

Read a story once about a guy whose parrot flew off with a tiny ship from a space game. They found it weeks later in the bottom of the bird cage, chewed beyond all recognition. That idea of a house pet card is pretty funny, but it would have to cover everything from sitting on pieces to full destruction. My own cat seems to think dice are toys, so we have to play a strict no-table-paws rule now.

That line about pets being the ultimate randomizer is so true. My dog once ate a critical modifier card from my Arkham Horror deck. We had to just pretend it was a +1 for the rest of the campaign. It adds a whole new layer of chaos you can't plan for. Makes you wonder if we should just add a "house pet" card to the event deck. What's the worst game piece your pet has ever stolen?
