Used to think my 5 year old was too young for board games. Then I saw him figure out Ticket to Ride: First Journey in under 20 minutes.

Honestly, I just let my nephew play with it without any pressure. He figured out the matching part way faster when I stopped trying to explain it. Tbh kids just get how these games work sometimes.

Sounds like a smart kid, but maybe we're overthinking it. I mean, it's a kids version of the game, right? They design those to be simple. Idk, maybe it's just me but sometimes people act like every little thing is a sign of genius.
