Spent 6 hours fighting a bad weld fit-up that should have taken 30 minutes
Last Thursday on a job in Tacoma, the flange was sitting proud by almost a quarter inch and I kept chasing it with the torch instead of stopping to re-tack it. Finally stepped back, cut the tacks, and got it square in one pass. How long do you guys give a fit-up before you just start over?
