Wasted $80 on a cheap welding hood last month
Bought a $80 auto-darkening hood off Amazon and the lens fogged up on me mid-weld on a boiler repair. Has anyone else had luck with a decent budget hood that actually works?

Man that sucks. $80 is rough for a hood that craps out on you like that. Try the Antra AH6-260 if you want something budget but solid, it's like $60 and mine hasn't fogged on me yet. Just make sure you blow the dust out of the sensors every few weeks.
