My pro told me to putt the bonus hole like a normal green and I lost 40 bucks because of it
Two Saturdays ago at Shadow Creek in Mesquite, our club ran a bonus hole tiebreaker after a 3 way tie in the member scramble. My pro, Dale, pulled me aside and said "just putt it like any other green, don't overthink it." That thing had a buried sprinkler head bump and a crown so hard my ball rolled 9 feet past from a tap in. I lost 40 bucks to a guy who chipped it, and now I'm convinced the bonus hole is a chip only hole forever. Does your club's bonus hole play fast and crowned too, or is mine just built mean?
