Picked the island green bonus hole over the short par 3, got burned
My club added a bonus 19th hole last month, a little island green that plays about 90 yards, and I had to choose between that or the old 110-yard par 3 they kept for warmups. I went with the island hole because the pot bunker in front made it feel more like a real challenge, but I dumped two balls in the water before finally landing one on the fringe and two-putting for a 5. Has anyone else picked the fancier option and immediately regretted it, or is it just me?
