PSA: Our club's bonus hole has been won at exactly 7 the past 6 weekends and that number is starting to feel cursed
Our muni in Tulsa added a 61 yard bonus hole behind the 18th green this spring for tiebreakers, and the card says par 3. Six weekends running now, the winning score has been exactly 7, not 6, not 8. I started writing the scores on the back of a receipt in my truck and the pattern holds even when the wind flips around. Odds on a 61 yard hole playing to the same number that many times have to be thin, so I'm wondering if the pin placement or the mower lines are quietly forcing everyone into the same mistake. Has anyone else tracked scores on a short bonus hole and seen a number repeat like this?
