The pro at my club in Reno said the bonus hole is just for fun, then he watched me 3 putt it
Last Saturday our club ran a bonus hole tiebreaker for the monthly medal and I heard the pro tell the two guys going out that the extra hole is just for fun so don't overthink it. I took that as permission to whack my drive, then I stood over a 40 footer and 3 putted it while he watched from the cart, and one of the guys won with a par. Does your club's bonus hole actually count for anything, or is it all just for laughs like ours?
