Am I the only one who ran book club like a class discussion for 2 years?
For almost two years I ran our group at the Fremont library like it was a seminar, going around the circle for reactions and taking notes on themes. Then Marta, who joined in January, said "this feels like homework" and half the table nodded. Turns out people just wanted to argue about whether the ending worked, not hear my summary of chapter 4. How do you all keep things loose without letting it turn into total chaos?
