Honestly, I used to just pick the next book without any real plan

Tbh, for like two years, our club just went with whatever someone suggested that week. It was a mess, and we'd end up reading three sad literary novels in a row. Last January, I made a simple spreadsheet with genres and a voting system. Now we plan a whole quarter ahead, mixing up a classic, a thriller, and a non-fiction pick. Our debates are way better because people actually get excited. Has anyone else found a better way to schedule your reads without it feeling like homework?

Planning a whole quarter is the move. It stops the last-minute scramble and lets everyone actually look forward to the books. Our club uses a shared Google Sheet for voting, super simple.

How did you set up the voting system?

It's not my system, I just vote in it. The mods set it up with a third-party app. You'd have to ask them for the tech details.
