My book club's group chat imploded over a single page in chapter 7

Last Tuesday, our debate about The Vanishing Half got so heated that three people left the chat in under an hour. It all started when someone pointed out a line on page 142 that contradicted how we interpreted the twins' choices. I spent two hours trying to calm everyone down by sending screenshots from the discussion guide, but nobody would back down. Has anyone else had a book club argument spiral like this where a tiny detail changed the whole vibe?

Used to think it was just a story but that page changed my whole view.

Oh man, same here. I stumbled on that page a few months ago and it literally made me rethink everything I thought I knew about that topic. I remember staying up way too late just reading through it over and over... couldn't believe how much detail was there that I'd never seen anywhere else. It's like once you see it you can't unsee it, you know? The way everything lines up if you just step back and look at it... kinda blows your mind honestly. Makes you wonder what else we've been missing all along.
