Our book club fight over 'The Great Gatsby' got so heated my neighbor called the cops
Last month, our Tuesday night meeting at my place in Akron turned into a shouting match about whether Gatsby was a hopeless romantic or just a creepy stalker. My friend Mark yelled, 'He bought a house across the bay to watch her, that's not love, that's a crime!' and threw his copy on the floor. The noise was so bad the neighbor thought it was a real fight and dialed 911. Two officers showed up and had to tell us to keep it down. Has your group ever had a debate that got totally out of hand?

That's wild. You know you've got a good book club when it takes a police visit to settle the score. Glad nobody got hauled in for disturbing the peace over Fitzgerald.
