Our book club in Austin had a huge fight over a character's age last month

We were discussing a novel where the main character is 27, but my friend Karen insisted she was written like a 19 year old. It got so heated that she brought a printed list of 42 quotes to prove her point at our next meeting. We spent the whole hour arguing instead of talking about the plot. Has your club ever gotten stuck on a tiny detail like that?

Got a little stuck on the timeline in our last book. Someone was convinced a trip to the store happened on a Tuesday, but the book said Wednesday. We spent twenty minutes flipping pages before we just agreed to move on.

Oh man, that's the worst. Those tiny details can totally derail a whole meeting. We almost missed our snack break over a debate like that.
