Our group picked a book I thought would be boring, but I was totally wrong

We read 'The Memory Police' for our meeting in April, and I was sure the slow pace would put me to sleep. After our talk, I saw how the quiet writing actually built this deep feeling of loss that hit me hard. Has a book you didn't like at first ever win you over after the club chat?

Honestly, that happened to me with a movie, not a book. I hated the weird pacing at first, but my friend pointed out the symbolism and it totally clicked. Sometimes you just need that outside perspective to get it.

Ever have a book just not click for you at all, even after talking it out? I'm with @riverdavis on needing outside views, but sometimes a book's just a bad fit for me.

What if a bad fit is just the book being bad?
