Pro tip: check your book club pick's page count before you vote, our 800 page monster broke us
We lost 4 of 9 members after assigning an 832 page book at our last meetup in Portland. How do you all handle the member who always pushes the giant books?
That person needs the rule where if you nominate a doorstop, you have to lead the talk for it. Half the time they pick the giant ones just to sound smart anyway. Ours gave up on the 900 pager once he found out he'd be running the whole meeting.
