Rant: My book club got into a 40 minute fight over whether we're even allowed to hate a narrator
Last Tuesday at Mara's place in Portland we spent the whole meeting arguing about whether disliking an audiobook narrator counts as a real opinion or just a personal hangup, and nobody even got to the actual ending. Half the group said I was being unfair to the book by quitting at chapter 6 because the voice bugged me, and the other half said forced listening is torture. Where does your club draw the line between a fair critique and just being picky?
