TIL our book club's vibe totally changed after we read 'Klara and the Sun'
For the last three months, our group in Seattle was stuck on light thrillers and barely talked. Then we picked that book for October. Suddenly, we had a two-hour debate about AI consciousness and what makes a person real. Has anyone else had a single book completely shift your club's energy?

Is it really a whole brain reset, @james_bell?

Happens all the time with a good book. It gives everyone the same big idea to grab onto, so the small talk just falls away. A single story can totally reset the whole group's brain.

Totally agree with you, @james_bell. My book club just read a thriller that did exactly that. We spent the whole night talking about the plot twist instead of our usual gossip. It really does change the whole mood of a group.
