Vent: Our book club spent 3 meetings arguing over the ending of 'The Silent Patient'
We read it last month and I thought we'd wrap up the debate in one session. Nope. People got so heated about whether the twist was earned or just a cheap trick. One person brought a 2-page typed analysis to the second meeting. It took us THREE whole Zoom calls, over 4 hours total, to finally move on. I love a good chat, but this felt like we were stuck on a loop. Has your group ever gotten this hung up on a single plot point?

Our group spent two meetings stuck on the unreliable narrator in "Gone Girl." I used to think those long talks meant we were really engaged. After your story, I see it can just burn people out. Sometimes you have to agree to disagree and pick a new book.

Remember when my buddy argued about the book's cover color for an hour.
