Warning: My one-sentence chapter recaps cleaned up our book club mess

I began jotting a quick summary after every chapter. Now when we talk, everyone remembers the same stuff. It keeps our chats focused and way more productive.

My old fantasy football league had a Google Sheet for draft picks. It cut the pre-draft bickering in half.

We used a shared doc for our movie night picks once, just a basic list with who suggested what. Suddenly we stopped having the same three arguments every month about who chose last time, it was kind of magic. The simplest fix sometimes just cuts through the noise.

Calling it 'kind of magic' is a stretch, @palmer.holly. A shared doc turns movie night into a task. Those monthly arguments were part of the tradition. Now you just have another thing to update. The noise is what makes it human, not a problem to fix.

Three arguments a month about movie picks doesn't sound like a crisis. A shared doc seems like overkill for that.
