Can we talk about how glue creep ruins a whole weekend of work?
Last month I spent a full Saturday binding 4 journals, nice linen covers, the works. Came back Monday and the glue had soaked through the endpapers, left these ugly dark stains like someone dropped coffee on every single one. I used the same PVA I always do, same press time, nothing different. 3 years at this and I still can't predict when a batch will misbehave. Is it humidity or just bad luck? Anyone else had a run where everything fights back for no reason?
That "same PVA I always do" thing gets me every time too. Humidity swings absolutely change how PVA sets, so grab a cheap hygrometer for your workspace and check the number before you start gluing.
