Glued my fingers together on a rush job in my garage last night
Was trying to finish a small journal for a client's birthday and got in a hurry with the PVA. Ended up gluing my thumb to my index finger and had to sit there for 10 minutes peeling them apart like an idiot. The book turned out fine but the spine shifted about 2mm to the left and now it bugs me every time I look at it. Has anyone else done something dumb when they were rushing and had to figure out how to fix a tiny alignment issue after the fact?

Let that 2mm go man, nobody else sees it.

Watch how people nitpick the tiniest details in their own lives while ignoring the big picture. My neighbor spent three hours yesterday adjusting a crooked picture frame in his hallway but hasn't noticed his front porch has been peeling paint for two years. It's like we've all got this built in magnifying glass for invisible stuff and blinders for the obvious.

@owens.anthony you're right but also wrong. That 2mm might as well be a canyon when it's your own work staring back at you. I once spent 45 minutes moving a logo 1 pixel to the left on a business card that would literally be thrown in a drawer the second someone got it. Meanwhile my actual living room has baseboards that look like a dog chewed them for 3 years and I just pretend I don't see them. It's that weird brain thing where the small stuff gets magnified and the big stuff just fades into the background like wallpaper.
