Just realized I've been cutting my book cloth wrong for a decade
I used to just use scissors on book cloth, cutting it roughly and hoping it didn't fray. About 6 months ago, I started using a sharp rotary cutter against a metal ruler instead, and the difference is night and day. The edges come out clean with no threads sticking out, and my corners line up way better now. Has anyone else found a tool that changed how they prep materials?

Yeah but a rotary cutter dulls fast on fabric backed stuff, you gotta change the blade way more than you'd think or it starts dragging and messing up the cloth.

You're right, I always thought blades lasted forever but now I'm rethinking that.
