My neighbor asked me to bind a book, then handed me a stack of 400 loose napkins.
This was in my garage workshop last Tuesday. She wanted a 'special memory book' for her wedding anniversary, but the 'pages' were just cocktail napkins from every bar they'd visited over 30 years. I spent two hours just trying to figure out how to fold and press them without the ink smearing. Has anyone else had to bind something that was definitely not paper?

What did you end up using for the binding itself? I feel like regular glue would just soak right through a napkin and make a huge mess. Did you have to stitch them or something?

Glue on a napkin would be a total disaster. It would turn into a soggy, see through lump in seconds. I used a thin double sided tape made for paper crafts. It holds the fold without any seepage. A basic stitch would probably tear right through the thin material.

Remember trying that with duct tape once, total sticky disaster.
