Rant: my corner press and I fought all Tuesday over 40 signatures, and the press won
I tried to knock out a 40-signature pamphlet on a Tuesday night and spent the first 20 minutes fighting a slipping nipping press that kept creeping on me. Turns out the whole thing was out of square by about a sixteenth, so I backed off the pressure, checked the platen with a square, and the rest of the run sewed up clean. Does anyone have a quick way to check square before they start a run, or do you all just learn the hard way like me?
