Found out dandelion roots are actually edible and kinda tasty

I was pulling weeds in the back bed near my porch in Tulsa last Sunday and got curious, so I looked it up on a gardening forum. Turns out the taproots can be roasted like a mild coffee substitute, and I tried a small one, it was nutty and not bad at all. Has anyone else actually cooked up a weed from their yard, or am I just the weird one here?

Watch the younger greens in spring too, they're milder and great sauteed like spinach.
