I always thought my fiddle leaf fig was a lost cause after it dropped half its leaves...

But after moving it just two feet away from a south-facing window in my apartment for a full season, it's pushing out five new ones. Has anyone else seen a plant totally turn around from one simple change?

Check if you were overwatering it before the move. I mean, less light usually means the soil stays wet longer, which they hate. Maybe the new spot fixed both problems at once.

Tbh I read somewhere that overwatering is the number one killer of houseplants.

Isn't it wild how a tiny change can make all the difference? My monstera was just sitting there for months, and I shifted it into a brighter corner on a total whim. Now it's putting out these huge, split leaves like it's showing off. It really does feel like they just needed that one specific thing we weren't giving them.

Honestly, the whole "needed that one specific thing" thing hits way too close to home. I had a pothos that I swear was just giving up on life, droopy and sad for like six months. Turns out it just wanted to be in a pot that actually had drainage holes instead of the cute ceramic one I bought at Target. Realized I basically waterboarded it for half a year. Now it's thriving and I'm over here like, "Sorry I tried to drown you, plant friend.
