Just realized my old grow light setup wasted about $200 a year on electricity
I ran those big metal halide bulbs in my plant room for years because everyone said they were the best, but my power bill was crazy high. Switched to modern LED panels last fall and cut that cost by more than half while getting better results. Anyone else make a switch that saved them a ton?

Oh man, "crazy high power bill" hits home. I used to run a space heater in my bathroom in the winter because the floor tiles were ice cold. My partner finally pointed out it was basically just heating the backyard. Felt like a genius paying to warm up the outdoors.

My old desktop computer was basically a space heater that could also check email. Replacing it was like getting a raise.
