I thought ferns were too tricky to keep alive, but one in my bathroom proved me wrong. What plants have you changed your mind on?

My peace lily proved me wrong by blooming in a dark corner. @spencer_barnes68, I see what you mean about plants surprising us with how tough they can be. It's funny how we assume we know what they need.

Oh man, I totally get this. I swore I could only kill succulents for the longest time. Then a spider plant on my dim kitchen counter just would not quit living, it even had babies. Makes you wonder what else we've written off too soon, right?

Honestly gibson.morgan, you really kept a spider plant alive in dim light? My experience is those things get real ugly without enough sun.
