For two years I called that thing a unitasker and said a knife does the job fine. Then last week my hands were wrecked from unloading a truck at work, so I grabbed the press out of the drawer instead of chopping six cloves. It flattened them in about four seconds and I stood there feeling like a moron for all the times I made fun of it. I still think half of kitchen gadgets are junk, but this one earned its spot and I have to admit that out loud. What's the one cheap tool you mocked and then quietly started using every single day?
