Kept buying $12 phone chargers at the gas station like a fool for 2 years
Every time a charger died I'd grab another cheap one at the Speedway near my place in Toledo, and I counted it up last month: 17 chargers in 2 years. That's over $200 on cords that lasted a few weeks each before the end got floppy. Finally spent $25 on one braided cord from a real store and it's still going 8 months later, which made me feel dumb. The gas station ones always die the same way, the little bendy part near the plug frays and then it only charges if you hold it just right. Anyone else keep falling for the checkout aisle ones or is it just me?
