Vent: I bought a $45 pineapple corer at TJ Maxx in Tulsa and it broke on fruit number two
I saw one of those as seen on TV pineapple slicers at TJ Maxx in Tulsa last month for $45 and grabbed it because I eat pineapple almost daily. It worked great on the first one, then the plastic handle snapped clean off on the second pineapple and sent juice across my whole kitchen. Has anyone found a pineapple tool that actually holds up, or am I just supposed to keep wrestling with a knife like everyone else?
That whole "works once then dies" thing is everywhere now. Same story with my $30 garlic press, one good press and the handle just gave up. Feels like anything with a plastic hinge these days is built to fail right after you get attached to it.
