My old boss told me he only wets bricks in July and August, and I've been thinking about it all week
I ran into my first foreman, Ray, at the supply yard in Toledo on Tuesday and he asked how I've been laying in this heat. He said he quit soaking bricks years ago except in July and August, because up here the mortar grabs plenty of moisture from the air the rest of the year. I always dunked every brick no matter what, so now I'm wondering if I've been dragging hoses around for nothing, does anybody else change their wetting habits by season?
