Overheard a guy at the supply yard say my old trick was outdated
Stopped by Northside Brick Supply on Tuesday to grab a bag of lime. Old timer next to me was telling a younger mason not to use a wet sponge on fresh brick. Said it drags the fines out and weakens the joint. I've done that for 12 years. Tried his dry brush method on a small wall today and the color came out way more even. Anyone else switch over or is this just a regional thing?
