That "easy thing to miss until it's too late" is how most big problems start.

Totally agree about checking weep holes. I used to think they were just for looks, but after seeing a neighbor's wall buckle from clogged ones, I get it now. Water builds up behind the block with no way out. That pressure is no joke. Like @craig.alex said, good looking out, because it's an easy thing to miss until it's too late.
