Warning: my mortar mix sat too long in 90 degree heat and cost me a full day
Mixed a batch last Tuesday in Phoenix and got pulled off for an hour to deal with a delivery, came back and it was basically useless. Took me until 4pm to chip out and redo the whole corner, has anyone else had this happen with hot weather setups?

Mix in smaller batches when it's that hot, or keep the pile shaded and hit it with a wet tarp. Also, set a timer on your phone for 20 minutes max, that stuff sets fast in Phoenix. Been there, wasted a whole afternoon chipping it out too.
