Brought my famous 'frugal' casserole to a potluck and it was the only thing left
Turns out, people are scared of lentils when they're disguised as meatloaf.

My lentil soup goes fast when I call it 'rustic stew' instead.

Noticed that trick works with lots of simple food. Call it a fancy name and people want it. Calling it stew makes it sound heartier than soup, like a real meal. It is all about how you sell it. People judge the food by the name first. Got any other dishes you rename like that?

Remember when @blair692 called that casserole "sunset harvest bake" and everyone fought over it?

My church potluck last month proved this point. A clever name can make or break a dish. @cole549 nailed it with the idea of selling the food. I brought a simple potato salad but called it 'herbed confetti potatoes' and it was gone in minutes. The exact same recipe labeled plainly just sits there. It's all about the story you tell with the name.
