My grocery run got me thinking about fresh vs. frozen costs
So I was at the store yesterday and saw that bell peppers have gone up like crazy, but the frozen mixed veggies were on sale. It got me wondering, because I always heard fresh is best, but my wallet is saying otherwise. Some folks say frozen loses nutrients, but I read that they're flash-frozen and actually keep vitamins better. What's your take on this for keeping meals cheap?

Saw red bell peppers at $4 each last week, which is wild. That flash freezing locks in nutrients right after picking, so frozen is totally solid for saving cash.

Ugh, did you see those prices too? I bought a couple of those gorgeous fresh ones last month thinking I'd be so healthy, and they just turned into a sad science experiment in my fridge drawer. My grand plan for fajitas cost me like twelve bucks in pepper waste alone, lol. Frozen ones are definitely the move for my dumb self.

Life-altering" is a bit much for peppers.

Flash freezing is neat, but bell peppers aren't a staple for everyone. The price jump is annoying, but not life-altering. Frozen veggies are a practical choice, no need to overthink it.
