Pro tip: Stop buying those little spice jars at the store

I was spending like $6 on a tiny jar of cumin every month until I checked the bulk section at my local co-op. A whole cup of the same stuff cost $2.50 and I just refill my old jar. Why do so many people still grab the expensive small packages?

Bulk bins can be pretty gross though.

Mary, you're absolutely right about that. And the person who mentioned smelling them first made a good point too, I never even thought of that.

Yeah and it's wild how the bulk bins let you smell the spices first, which @mary_nelson71 would probably like. You can actually check if they're fresh before you buy a whole jar of dust. That alone makes the switch worth it.
