Spent $45 on a meal prep kit that went bad in 3 days.

I bought one of those discounted weekly boxes from a delivery service to try saving time, but the chicken had a sour smell by day two and half the veggies were mush when I opened them. Does anyone else find the 'budget friendly' versions of these kits are just lower quality, or did I just get a bad batch from a local warehouse?
