Swore frozen veggies were a ripoff until I actually did the math
I always grabbed the fresh broccoli at Kroger because frozen felt like paying more for less, but last week I priced it out. A bag of frozen florets was $1.79 for 12 oz and the fresh head came to $2.40 and half of it got tossed when it went soft. The frozen stuff also meant zero prep on nights I get home late, so I've flipped completely on this. What frozen swaps have worked out cheaper for you once you count what gets thrown away?
